Barcelona Ready for First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday
Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in domestic competition over two years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued by UEFA to host the next European match facing Eintracht in December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
